About Chnondir
Chnondir is a Moroccan association, based in Salé. Two years in, a network of more than thirty volunteer mentors carries the work into public schools — classroom by classroom, hackathon by hackathon.
Why we exist
What's missing isn't talent. It's the encounter — early enough to become a calling. In Morocco, most students meet AI long after school. By then, the choices are already made.
Equal access, from the start
Ages 8 to 18, in Moroccan public schools. Priority to girls and to under-served regions.
Five steps, five doors
No prerequisites. No personal equipment. One laptop per team is enough.
- Discover — The moment a student thinks: this is for me, and I can do it.
- Experiment — Hands on the technology instead of hearing about it.
- Build — A real project, made in a team, from idea to something that runs.
- Present — Standing up and defending the work in front of a jury.
- Go further — A path, a field of study, and a community to carry on with.
